The number of victims after shelling in Dnipro has increased: five dead and over 40 injured

The number of dead and injured in Dnipro has increased after Russian strikes. As of now, 5 people are known to have died and over 40 injured, including children.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the head of state, a rescue operation is underway in the city after night and day attacks. Russian troops used missiles and drones, striking residential buildings, energy infrastructure and civilian objects.

“A rescue operation is still underway in Dnipro after Russian strikes on the city. All services, doctors, and rescuers are working,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President noted that during the day, Russian troops re-attacked a residential area that had already been shelled at night.

“Many are injured. As of now, more than 40 injured people are known to have been injured in Dnipro. And there are children among them,” he said.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, 23 people were hospitalized, and 2 more are missing. Search operations are ongoing.

“Unfortunately, five people in the city died as a result of these Russian strikes,” the president said.

Separately, the head of state emphasized the need for international attention to the situation in Ukraine and strengthening air defense.

“It is important that the world does not remain silent about what is happening,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, reported that the number of victims has increased to 46 people, including 5 children.

According to him, 23 people are in hospitals, including 2 women aged 26 and 44 in serious condition.

“There are already 46 injured due to the massive Russian attack on the Dnieper. Among them are five children,” said Oleksandr Ganja.

He also clarified that three children were injured during the second attack on the residential area.

“A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl are hospitalized in moderate condition. Another 16-year-old boy will be treated as an outpatient,” he said.

According to the head of the OVA, a total of 7 people were injured in the second strike, 5 of whom are in the hospital. Medics are providing everyone with the necessary assistance.

As a reminder, on the night of April 25, the Russian army carried out a combined strike on Ukraine, using missiles of various types and strike drones. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 610 enemy targets.

Later, it became known that after the Russian night attack, the city of Dnipro suffered significant destruction – residential buildings and social infrastructure facilities were damaged, and there were victims and injured people.
