The occupation authorities admitted: most housing in Mariupol is being bought by Russians

The head of the occupation administration in the Donetsk region, Denys Pushylin, actually acknowledged the mass resettlement of Russians to the occupied territories and the change in their demographic composition.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Pushilin called the mass purchase of housing by Russian citizens in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region a “natural trend.”

According to published data, about 75% of real estate transactions in Mariupol are concluded by visitors from Russia. Only a quarter of buyers are local residents.

At the same time, the occupation authorities are confiscating Ukrainian housing under the pretext of combating “ownerless” real estate. In Mariupol and Melitopol, the invaders have already appropriated about 4,000 residential properties.

After that, the property is resold or transferred for use to citizens of the Russian Federation.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that such actions indicate a targeted policy of displacing the local population and changing the composition of residents in the occupied territories.

It has previously been reported that Russia is using deception and manipulation to recruit residents of temporarily occupied Crimea into its army. People are promised safe service close to home, but in reality, things are different.

We would like to remind you that in Russia there has been a significant increase in the propaganda component of the activities of children’s and adolescent paramilitary organizations.
