The occupation authorities want to transfer the Azov coast to Belarus: what is known

The occupation leader of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, stated that he wants to transfer part of the Azov coast to Belarus, allegedly for the creation of resorts and sanatoriums.

This is reported by the Center for National Resistance.

Saldo said that he is already discussing the transfer of coastal areas with Minsk and calls the region “an ideal place for recreation.” In fact, he is demonstrating his readiness to dispose of Ukrainian territory and involve a third state in it.

Central Security Service sources in the temporarily occupied part of the region say that Saldo and Belarusian structures have been negotiating since the summer of 2024. At closed meetings, they discuss specific sections between Genichesk and Arabatskaya Strilka, which they want to transfer to Belarus for long-term use.

In his circle, Saldo calls this “an exchange of political loyalty from Minsk” – a step that allows Moscow to create a legitimate excuse for Belarusians to be on Ukrainian soil.

Central Intelligence Agency analysts explain that talk of “resort zones” is just a cover. The Kremlin plans to use these territories as dual-purpose facilities: logistical bases, closed points for Russian and Belarusian forces, and sites for technical deployment.

Thus, Russia strengthens the military and political presence of its allies in the occupied lands, completely ignoring Ukraine’s sovereignty and international law. The occupiers view the Kherson region as a resource zone, where talk of “resorts” serves only as a decoration for military plans.

As previously reported, Russia’s occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions led to a catastrophic reduction in the number of operating mines: from 114, only 15 remained.

As a reminder, the Russian occupation authorities plan to oblige residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to install the Max messenger from VK, which is controlled by the Kremlin and the FSB.
