On the night of Friday, February 20, drones attacked temporarily occupied Crimea. Eyewitnesses report powerful explosions near the Belbek and Saki airfields.
This is reported by Russian media.
The Russian Defense Ministry traditionally claims to have shot down several drones over Crimea and the Black Sea. It is currently unknown whether military facilities were hit.
However, local residents and Telegram channels wrote about the sounds of gunfire, rocket launches, and drone flights in the area of Sevastopol and the western coast of the peninsula.
The Russian occupation army tried to repel the drone attack in the area of the Kacha and Belbek airfields. In addition, sirens sounded repeatedly in Sevastopol due to the threat of drones, and Russian air defense was actively operating in Bakhchisarai.
Flashes were visible in the sky, as well as searchlights and tracer lines. Explosions were also reported in the area of Saki airfield in Novofedorivka.
In particular, locals reported that windows in residential buildings were broken due to the explosions in Sevastopol.
As a reminder, since Monday evening, February 16, a series of powerful explosions have been heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Belbek airfield in Sevastopol came under attack by drones.
As reported, several powerful explosions were heard in Cheboksary (Chuvashia) on the morning of Wednesday, February 18. Local residents are reporting a drone attack and smoke in the city’s industrial zone.
