President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should reconsider the policy of “five or six managers” and finally remove the head of his office, Andriy Yermak, from diplomatic work, because due to his lack of professional skills, he cannot represent Ukraine abroad and is only harming the negotiations.

This was stated on the air of “Pryamoy” by Volodymyr Viatrovych, People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” faction.

“You see, here is a unique case when we are witnessing a consensus between two parties in the US – Republicans, Democrats – and the Ukrainian people. Because in Ukraine, the absolute majority of Ukrainians do not perceive Mr. Yermak as someone who should determine policy – whether foreign or domestic. It is obvious that the position he holds absolutely does not give him such powers. The fact that he created such opportunities for himself is a gross violation of the normal models provided for by the Ukrainian Constitution, Ukrainian legislation,” Viatrovych noted.

At the same time, such “foreign policy activities” of the head of the President’s Office, according to the people’s deputy, negatively affect the negotiation processes, since in the extremely difficult conditions of Russian aggression, Andriy Yermak cannot represent Ukraine, since he does not possess the appropriate professional knowledge and skills.

“It is obvious that Andriy Yermak, despite his ambitions, despite his desire to present himself as a defining diplomat of the country, deputy minister of foreign affairs, vice president of the country, in fact, does not have serious diplomatic baggage. He is a person from show business who has established himself as a film producer. There is no doubt that in such a difficult situation in which the country and the world are now, on the verge of serious clashes, perhaps even in the format of World War III, the most balanced position and professionalism are needed,” the people’s representative is convinced.

Viatrovych emphasizes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should reconsider the policy of “five or six managers” and finally remove Yermak from the negotiation process.

“Andriy Yermak does not have this professionalism, he had nowhere to get it. And Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s catastrophe is that he himself brought the situation to such a state when, in fact, the foreign policy situation and the perception of our country depend on one person, who is far from an expert in diplomacy. Faith in five or six managers who are capable of pulling the entire country along is, in fact, catastrophically destructive. Therefore, it is obvious that we must use all opportunities to convey to the leadership of our state that it is time to change this approach,” the People’s Deputy explains.

“I think there were many non-public signals to Volodymyr Zelenskyy that this person should be removed from the negotiation process. Now we have heard this publicly, and there are no excuses that a person who does not have the appropriate powers in Ukrainian legislation, a person who does not have the appropriate diplomatic baggage and experience, should not represent Ukraine in such important foreign policy relations. The future of our country should not depend on random people,” summed up Volodymyr Viatrovych, a people’s deputy from European Solidarity.

Politico recently reported that Ukrainian President Andriy Yermak, the head of the Presidential Office, is increasingly a source of irritation in Washington . This is confirmed by more than a dozen sources among former and current US officials, as well as congressional aides.

According to journalists, some of the interlocutors describe Yermak as overly demanding, harsh in communication, and poorly informed about domestic US politics. Some express concerns that he may have inaccurately conveyed Washington’s position to the Ukrainian leadership. One source described him as a “bipartisan irritant.”

Earlier, Ukrainian politician Volodymyr Omelyan stated that Ukraine should change the destroyed vertical of power, because total corruption and the crisis of governance only benefit the enemy, not our state, as evidenced in particular by the recent visits of the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak to the US and his efforts on the diplomatic front.

In addition, People’s Deputy Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze claims that the last visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the White House once again showed that it is worth changing its composition and appointing a new special representative of Ukraine in negotiations with the US, because Andriy Yermak cannot continue to perform these functions .
