Another round of meetings between the negotiating teams of Ukraine and the United States to advance the peace plan will take place in the near future, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said during a briefing.
According to him, Kyiv expects concrete results from these contacts, which should ensure real progress in the negotiation process.
“Our expectations are for concrete results so that progress can be made,” the Foreign Minister emphasized.
Sybiga stressed that achieving a ceasefire is extremely important for Ukraine, and Kyiv has repeatedly demonstrated its readiness for constructive dialogue. Currently, all diplomatic efforts are aimed precisely at promoting a peaceful settlement.
The minister also confirmed that the Ukrainian side is interested in holding a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, as some of the most sensitive issues can only be discussed at the level of leaders.
As a reminder, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen named five EU priorities that should be taken into account in a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
As reported, US President Donald Trump stated that the only real concession from the Russian Federation in a potential peace agreement with Ukraine could be a complete cessation of hostilities.
