The presence of German arms companies will grow in Ukraine — Zelensky

On Monday, June 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful and leaders of German defense companies.
He wrote about this on social media.
During the meeting, it was possible to discuss the sanctions pressure on Russia and the possibilities of supplying new IRIS-T systems.
In addition, we talked about joint weapons production – in Ukraine and in Germany.
“We will develop appropriate military hubs and increase the presence of German companies in Ukraine. We discussed in detail the direction of interceptor drones,” Zelensky shared.
Among other things, they discussed Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration. The German minister assured that Berlin supports Kyiv on its path to NATO.
“We thank the Chancellor, his team, and the people of Germany for their unwavering support for Ukraine and leadership in defense assistance in Europe,” the president concluded.
As a reminder, Ukroboronprom has agreed to cooperate with the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) in the field of strengthening the potential of Ukrainian air defense.
