President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to prepare proposals for reforming the State Bureau of Investigation as soon as possible and submit them for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.
The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, this involves preparing a presidential bill, which should be promptly submitted to parliament.
Zelenskyy stressed that he expects the document to be completed and registered with the Verkhovna Rada in January. Details of future changes in the SBI’s activities are not yet specified.
As a reminder, Kyrylo Budanov accepted the offer of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to head the Office of the Head of State . He stated that he continues to serve Ukraine and considers the new position as another level of responsibility to the country.
As reported, after the publication of the materials of Operation Midas on corruption in the energy sector, the State Bureau of Investigation interrogated its deputy director, Oleksandr Udovichenko, but not the head of the State Bureau of Investigation, Oleksiy Sukhachev.
