The President of Moldova arrived in Kyiv for the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu arrived in Kyiv to mark the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
She announced her visit on social media.
During her trip, Sandu plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy . Also on the agenda is a visit to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone to commemorate those who perished in the disaster.
“Disasters know no borders—and neither should solidarity. Moldova stands side by side with those who build, not destroy,” the president noted.
