The Rada allocated an additional 325 billion hryvnias to the Defense Forces: most of the funds are income from Russian assets

The Verkhovna Rada voted for amendments to the 2025 State Budget, allocating additional funds to the Defense Forces.
This was reported by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.
According to him, the corresponding decision received 297 votes in favor.
In total, UAH 325 billion will be transferred for the needs of the Ukrainian troops, of which UAH 292 billion is income from frozen Russian assets, which were transferred earlier than expected.
The People’s Deputy emphasized that this is the first time such a procedure has been carried out.
He added that the law will be signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and submitted to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signature.
Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to the 2025 State Budget , which provide for increased spending and the defense sector.
We remind you that the 2025 state budget lacks funds for salaries for the Ukrainian military – the deficit is estimated at about UAH 300 billion.
