The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill on the extension of martial law in Ukraine, which was introduced the day before by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This became known from the broadcast of the parliamentary session.
330 parliamentarians voted “yes”.
According to the draft law, martial law in Ukraine will be extended from February 3, 2026, for another 90 days.
In addition, the Rada voted to extend general mobilization, also for 90 days.
This decision was supported by 312 deputies.
The Verkhovna Rada has already extended the relevant measures 17 times . Martial law in Ukraine was first introduced on February 24, 2022 in response to a full-scale Russian invasion. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on its introduction, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved it on the same day. Martial law was imposed from 05:30 on February 24, 2022 for a period of 30 days, and since then it has been repeatedly extended due to the ongoing threat and military aggression.
Recall that in October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days — until February 3, 2026 .
