The Rada proposes to replace March 8 with a new holiday
The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft resolution No. 15052 on the establishment of a new holiday – Ukrainian Women’s Day.
This is reported by the parliament website.

The document was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada leadership for consideration. As of the morning of March 3, the text of the resolution is missing from the parliament’s website, so it is unknown what date is proposed to be set for the celebration.
There is also currently no information whether the initiative envisages the cancellation of March 8 as a public holiday or the introduction of an additional commemorative day.
