President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has sent a proposal to the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Vasyl Malyuk from the position of head of the Security Service.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.

“The Verkhovna Rada has received a proposal from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to dismiss Vasyl Malyuk from the position of Head of the Security Service of Ukraine,” he wrote.

According to the official, the deputies will consider the submission in the near future in accordance with the established procedure.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on a meeting with Vasyl Malyuk, during which he thanked him for his combat work and suggested continuing to focus on asymmetric operations against the Russian Federation .

It is worth noting that Vasyl Malyuk announced his resignation from the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine . At the same time, he reported that he would remain in the SBU system to implement special operations.
