The curfew in Ukraine will not be canceled or revised, but specific exceptions are possible under certain conditions.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba following the results of the first meeting of the headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of Russian shelling of energy facilities in Kyiv.

According to him, the issues of curfew and the operation of checkpoints were considered on the instructions of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Kuleba emphasized that the curfew regime remains in force throughout the country.

“I emphasize: the curfew regime is not canceled or revised. At the same time, in the event of prolonged heat or electricity outages, the state must act flexibly, without violating security decisions,” he noted.

The Deputy Prime Minister explained that exceptions are possible only in cases of emergency and exclusively with the participation of the military command and the Defense Councils. No arbitrary decisions will be allowed on the ground.

These are temporary and point-to-point solutions that can ensure the operation of critical infrastructure, safe access for citizens to points of invincibility, and their stable operation during prolonged power or heat outages.

As previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the introduction of a state of emergency in Ukraine’s energy sector.

As a reminder, the Russian occupiers struck at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities, resulting in power outages for consumers in the Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions.
