The Rada supported the bill on a daily minute of silence

Today, February 11, the Verkhovna Rada supported a bill to introduce a nationwide minute of silence every day at 9:00 a.m. in memory of those who died as a result of the war unleashed by Russia.

This is stated on the BP website.

As is known, 260 people’s deputies voted “for” the relevant law.

“In order to honor the servicemen and members of volunteer formations who died while performing tasks to protect the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as medical workers, police officers, rescuers, journalists, volunteers, and civilians who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, a ritual of gratitude, honor, and remembrance is being held – a nationwide minute of silence,” the draft law states.

A nationwide minute of silence will be held daily at 9:00 a.m. State and local government bodies will inform about the beginning and end.

According to People ‘s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko, also every year, on the fourth Saturday of November at 4:00 p.m., there will be a nationwide minute of silence and the “Light a Candle” campaign in memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

Previously,the Verkhovna Rada supported the legislative establishment of a nationwide minute of silence every day at 9:00 a.m. and allowed the use of a national alert system for this purpose.
