On Thursday, December 18, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada supported a bill on a 90-day leave for military personnel released from captivity with full financial security.

This was reported by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko.

According to him, the majority of people’s deputies voted “yes” – the bill received 258 votes.

After that, the Verkhovna Rada sent it to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signature.

“Prisoners have the right to be released. This bill also adds additional leave immediately after captivity,” Honcharenko noted.

At the same time, after this, the military will be able to choose: to remain in service or to resign.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine signed a law expanding the rights of military personnel to vacation . The document guarantees all military personnel 15 days of annual vacation, returns an additional 14 days for combatants, and introduces educational leave for contract soldiers studying under the “18–24” program.
