The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a bill on VAT taxation of international parcels worth up to EUR 150. If the law comes into force, the tax will also be charged on goods ordered on foreign marketplaces that were not previously taxed.
This became known from the broadcast of the parliament session.
252 MPs voted for the bill in the second reading, and three voted against it.

Currently, international postal shipments with goods worth up to 150 euros are exempt from VAT. After the introduction of the new rules, the tax on such purchases will be calculated and paid by the online platform through which the goods were ordered.
At the same time, tax exemption will be maintained for free non-commercial parcels worth up to 45 euros.
The government expects that the abolition of the tax benefit will allow for an additional annual increase of over 10 billion hryvnias to the state budget.
The new rules may not come into effect until 2027.
Recall that earlier, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading draft law No. 16051-1, which changes the rules for taxation of purchases from abroad . The document provides for the introduction of VAT for goods ordered through foreign marketplaces, actually from the first euro.
