The “rotten herring” method: who benefits from discrediting volunteers

The coordinated, massive attack on Jana Zinkevich and the Hospitallers Paramedics is disgusting.

Journalists who ask about the reports will certainly be waited for. The deadline for reporting to the tax office according to the law has just expired, so please be patient.

Volunteers, favored by the authorities, calmly “take their time” to publish, and we do not observe any media hysteria about them.

But the massiveness and coordination of the attack that has begun is a familiar pattern. For the Russians, discrediting Ukrainian volunteers is one of their main tasks. The “rotten herring” method – covering it up with lies so that the stench remains, so that the subject is forgotten, and “not everything is so clear” becomes entrenched – is a vile tactic.

And it is he who is used in their hate campaigns by representatives and servants of the authorities.

The failure of negotiations, the quarrel with Europe, the inability to protect communities, helplessness in the fuel market… Of course, we need to attack the opposition and volunteers.

Disgusting.

Yana Zinkevich, hang in there. The dirt will come back to haunt those who spread it.

As a reminder, public activist Yuriy Honcharenko announced an information campaign against the volunteer medical battalion “Hospitaliery” and its founder Yana Zinkevich. According to him, such media attacks can be used to undermine trust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the volunteer movement.

Meanwhile, the public is actively commenting on allegations of alleged misuse of charitable contributions by the Hospitallers medical battalion. The organization’s founder, Yana Zinkevich, is now independently overcoming media pressure, while the real indicator of the structure’s activities is the rescue of the wounded on the front lines, not just paper documentation.

In addition, the day before, the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed his support for the founder of the Medical Volunteer Battalion “Hospitaliers” Yana Zinkevich. “The willpower and courage of our incredible Yana Zinkevich are beyond comprehension,” he emphasized.
