The Russian army attacked a hospital in Kherson: a doctor was killed, a nurse was injured

Russian forces struck a hospital in Kherson on July 2. The attack killed a 63-year-old doctor and injured another medical worker.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

According to him, one of the hospital buildings suffered significant damage. The blast wave damaged the roof, facade, wards and doctors’ offices, and also broke dozens of windows and doors.

A fire broke out in the building after the strike. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire, despite the threat of further Russian strikes.

“Unfortunately, this cynical attack cut short the life of a 63-year-old doctor who helped others until the very end. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Eternal memory,” Prokudin said.

A nurse was also injured as a result of the shelling. According to the head of the OVA, she is under the supervision of doctors and is receiving the necessary medical care.
