On the morning of October 16, Russia carried out a massive combined strike on the territory of Ukraine, using two ballistic missiles on a training unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the enemy shelling, there were killed and wounded servicemen.
This was reported by the Operational Command “South”.
According to the Operational Command, the attack took place on the territory of one of the training units, located in a rear and relatively calm part of the country.
Despite the announcement of an air raid alert, the relocation of personnel to shelters, and other safety measures, losses could not be completely avoided.
Emergency services are working at the scene. The wounded soldiers are being promptly provided with all necessary medical assistance. In the near future, the servicemen of the unit will be able to contact their families.
By decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Military Law Enforcement Service is conducting an internal investigation into the missile strike.
The “South” operational command expressed its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
It is known that on Wednesday, September 24, the Russian army launched a combined strike on the territory of one of the training units of the Ground Forces , targeting a shelter. Earlier, the Russian occupation army carried out an attack with Shahed kamikaze drones on one of the training centers of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on June 22, the enemy launched a missile strike on the training ground of one of the mechanized brigades of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where training sessions were held with servicemen. By the way, on June 4, the Russian occupation army launched a missile strike on the territory of one of the training units in the Poltava region.
