The Russian army attacked energy facilities in three regions of Ukraine: what is the power situation?

On the night of November 5, Russian occupation forces attacked energy facilities in three regions of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Energy reported this.

“The enemy struck energy facilities in the Donetsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. Emergency recovery operations are ongoing, and power workers are working nonstop to restore power as quickly as possible,” the department reported.

They also noted that hourly outage schedules are currently in effect from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM in all regions of Ukraine. Power reduction schedules for industrial consumers are in effect from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Ukrenergo, for its part, reported that electricity consumption remains consistently high. As of 6:30 AM today, it was the same as at this time the previous day, Tuesday.

Yesterday, the daily consumption maximum was recorded during the day and was 2.9% higher than the maximum of the previous day – Monday, November 3.

“The reason is a drop in air temperature in most regions of Ukraine,” energy officials explained, urging consumers to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances until 10:00 PM.
