Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky made a working visit to the Pokrovsk sector and held a meeting with commanders of military groups, units, and subunits performing tasks in this sector of the front.

The General Staff reported this on Telegram.

Syrsky emphasized that the defense of Pokrovsk, Mirnohrad, and the surrounding areas is structured comprehensively: Defense Forces are blocking enemy attempts to penetrate small groups and are conducting active countermeasures to restore lost positions.

“Over the past week, a search and destruction of the enemy was carried out directly in Pokrovsk over an area of approximately 11.5 square kilometers,” the commander-in-chief reported.

According to him, Russian troops are suffering significant losses, while Ukrainian units are actively forcing the occupiers to call in operational reserves in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad sector. He noted that the enemy is changing the direction of its attacks and resorting to war crimes, including disguising itself as civilians or using them as cover.

During the meeting, the strengthening of Ukrainian units was discussed, the use of reserves and issues of ensuring the advancement of assault groups were agreed upon.

“We continue to work on maintaining existing logistics routes and developing additional ones. We must provide our group with maximum support and ensure timely medical evacuation of the wounded,” Syrsky emphasized.

As a reminder, since the beginning of the day and as of 4:00 PM, Ukrainian military personnel have recorded 112 combat clashes along the entire front line.
