Russian occupation forces were ordered to intensify drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and transport in frontline and border areas.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to intelligence, units of the Russian occupation army have received orders to intensify drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and vehicles in frontline and border areas.

In particular, the command ordered to intensify attacks on gas stations, trucks, buses, and cars.

According to the GUR, the executors of these orders were the center of promising unmanned systems “Rubicon” and external pilots of linear units of the occupation army.

To search for and destroy targets, the occupiers plan to use drones controlled in real time, in particular “Molniya-1”, “Molniya-2”, “Geranium-Seeker”, “Gerbera-Seeker”, “Lancet”, V2U and other similar systems.

The GUR notes that the low level of training of Russian operators is already leading to incidents when they mistakenly attack their own targets. Thus, operators of the 1427th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, due to a loss of orientation, aimed a Molniya-2 drone at a civilian UAZ Bukhanka car near the settlement of Glushkove, Kursk Region. The drone missed the target and detonated approximately 10 meters from the car.

In addition, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian special services often organize similar attacks against their own civilian population in border regions, using them for propaganda purposes to discredit Ukraine.

Another similar incident occurred in the Zaporizhia direction, where Russian operators mistakenly attacked a pickup truck carrying their own military personnel.

In particular, the GUR emphasized that the Russian command’s order to intensify drone terror in frontline areas poses a real threat to the civilian population of Ukraine.

Intelligence urged citizens to be vigilant and not ignore air raid warning signals.

It was previously reported that the GUR received new data on the development of Russian weapons at the Polyus research institute .
