The Russian army struck a residential area in Sumy region: one person was killed and one was injured

On the night of Wednesday, April 8, the enemy attacked the Romenska community in Sumy Oblast. One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of the shelling.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged. Fires also broke out in homes and non-residential premises.

“The residential sector and infrastructure were damaged, fortunately, the work of rescuers helped prevent large-scale consequences,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

Rescuers worked simultaneously at several addresses. Due to the threat of repeated attacks, work was periodically suspended. Despite the difficult situation, all fire sources were eliminated.

“Due to the threat of repeated attacks, rescuers worked intermittently, but all fires were extinguished,” the department reported.
