On the night of July 2, the Russian embassy in Sweden was attacked by drones, according to the Russian diplomatic mission.

According to the Russian side, one quadcopter dropped a container of red paint on the embassy grounds. Another drone, carrying a mock improvised explosive device, crashed near the building.

The Russian Embassy called the incident an “attempt to intimidate” its staff and placed responsibility for the diplomatic mission’s security on the Swedish side. There are no reports of casualties or official comments from the Swedish government yet.
