The Russian Federation attacked a residential building in Chernihiv: there are dead and wounded

Russian forces have struck a five-story residential building in Chernihiv with a drone strike. The attack killed an elderly woman and injured six people.

This is reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The impact caused serious damage to the building – from the fourth to the second floors. A fire broke out after the attack. Rescuers quickly pulled four residents out of the home and evacuated nine more.

Emergency services extinguished the fire. Emergency recovery work and debris clearance are ongoing at the scene. All services continue to work, information is being clarified.

It was previously reported that on the night of December 25, Russian troops struck the port and industrial infrastructure of the Odessa region.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia not only rejected the idea of a “Christmas truce”, but also continues to shell Ukraine.
