The Russian fleet in Crimea is under threat: landing ships are “shuffling” around the bays
The Russian occupiers continue to “shuffle” the ships remaining in temporarily occupied Sevastopol between berths. The purpose of such maneuvers is to protect the fleet from possible attacks by Ukrainian forces.
This is reported by the monitoring channel “Crimean Wind”.
According to the channel’s sources, after the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck Novorossiysk, which damaged the large amphibious assault ship (BDS) of Project 1171 “Tapir”, the Russians in Sevastopol transferred its “sister ship” to another berth.
Now the ship is located in Sevastopol Bay opposite Dokova instead of berth No. 14. Part of the superstructure was hidden with a camouflage net, but this did not provide reliable protection.
It is noted that the occupiers are repositioning ships mainly at night, due to fears of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, two Project 1171 BDKs remain: “Orsk” (built in 1968) and “Nikolai Filchenkov” (1975). One of them is in Sevastopol, the second was hidden in Novorossiysk.
As a reminder, special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Security and Defense Forces struck the Novorossiysk port in Russia , which is the second largest oil export center. As a result of the attack, a number of infrastructure facilities were damaged and explosions were recorded at the positions of the anti-aircraft complex.
As reported, the Ukrainian night attack on the port of Novorossiysk temporarily halted about 2% of global oil exports . The strike was one of the largest on Russian oil export infrastructure in recent months.
