Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov declared that Russian troops had occupied several settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Ukrainian General Staff refuted this claim, stressing that the information is false.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to Gerasimov’s report, Russian forces allegedly took control of seven settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, including the village of Dachne.
However, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied this claim, stressing that the information about the occupation of Dachne is false.
The press service of the General Staff also released a video showing the Ukrainian blue-and-yellow flag flying near the destroyed buildings in the village.
“The so-called ‘occupied’ village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region looks like this, according to the report of Russia’s Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov,” the General Staff wrote, posting a video recorded by soldiers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Podil Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Previously, Russian troops occupied the villages of Zaporizhia and Novogeorgiyevka in the southeast of the Dnipro region – these are the first territories in the region to come under the control of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale invasion.
Later, the General Staff denied information about the occupation of villages in the Dnipro region, noting that the Russians do not control the settlements of Zaporizhzhia and Novogeorgiivka.
By the way, analysts recorded the enemy’s advance in the Dnipro region in the settlement of Novoselivka.
As a reminder, the General Staff commented on Gerasimov’s report on the “results of the spring-summer campaign of 2025” , noting that another “seasonal” offensive campaign of the Russian occupiers ended in practically nothing.
