The Russian occupation army has intensified hostilities in the southern regions of Ukraine, in particular, the enemy has transferred additional resources to the Zaporizhia region.
This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
According to him, the enemy has begun to more actively carry out assault operations near the settlements of Novoandreyevka and Novodanylivka. However, they have not yet achieved success.
At the same time, according to intelligence data, the Russians transferred personnel from assault groups to the Orikhiv direction. They were placed in forward positions near Malaya Tokmachka.
The spokesman suggested that the occupiers plan to resume offensive operations on this section of the front and try to capture the settlement.
In addition, the enemy has recently been more active in the Hulyaipil direction, trying to storm Ukrainian positions near the village of Poltavka.
“It also continues assault operations on the front line where the settlements of Kamianske, Plavni, and Primorske are located. Here it is delivering a massive blow to our positions, which have actually been destroyed and almost all shelters have been destroyed,” Voloshyn noted.
As he explained, the Russians there are trying to infiltrate Ukrainian positions and move towards Stepnohirsk.
“In response to this, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting search and strike operations, destroying such groups and thwarting such attempts, but this direction remains one of the hottest in our operational zone,” the spokesman summarized.
As a reminder, the Russian army is making daily attempts to capture Kamianske and Plavni in the Zaporizhia region and reach the outskirts of Primorske for a further offensive.
By the way, last day in the Hulyaipil direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance near the settlement of Poltavka.
