The Russians are trying to take Pokrovsk into semi-encirclement: what are the tactics of the occupiers?

The Russian occupiers have concentrated most of their forces in the Pokrovsky direction, where they are trying to semi-encircle the city.

This was reported on the air of “Suspilny” by the spokesman for the “Khortytsia” OSUV Viktor Tregubov.

As he explained, the enemy had made some progress between the cities of Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivka, however, the Ukrainian military there is trying to destroy as much enemy personnel and equipment as possible in order to slow down the offensive.

According to him, storming Pokrovsk makes no sense, because it will only make the situation more difficult for Ukrainian UAV operators, forcing them to retreat a little.

“The Russians have already learned what happens if you storm cities head-on. Despite all the strength they have now, if they repeat the “meat storms” that were in Mariupol and Bakhmut, they still won’t have enough people. They will simply be completely wasted,” Tregubov noted.

He added that, taking into account all factors, the Russian army is making attempts to partially capture the city.

As reported, in the Pokrovskaya direction, the enemy is using the tactics of small assault groups trying to gain a foothold in urban areas , which threatens to flank the Pokrovskaya agglomeration.

As a reminder, on July 25, the movement of Russian equipment in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlovsk directions was recorded in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region.
