The Russians focused on two front lines in Zaporizhia: the situation for the regional center became more complicated

The situation on the front in the Zaporizhia region has worsened, as Russian troops have concentrated on two areas – in the areas of Hulyaipol and Kamiansky.

This was stated by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, Ukrinform reports .

“Is there a threat to Zaporizhia? It has not ceased to exist over the past almost four years of war. Let’s talk about it honestly. Has the situation worsened over the past six months? Yes, it has become more difficult. Attention is focused on two directions of the front: Hulyaipil and Stepnohirsk or Kamiansk,” the official explained.

According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are improving their positions on the front line near Kamianske every day.

Despite this, officials decided to forcibly evacuate the village of Kushugum in the suburbs of Zaporizhia, located approximately 15 kilometers from the front.

“This suggests that it is not the front line that has shifted, but unfortunately, the means used by the enemy have gained a greater range, and the enemy has prioritized this particular direction,” Fedorov added.

At the same time, he commented on the situation in the Hulyaipil direction, noting that it is much more complicated.

“The assault units fighting for Hulyaipole are doing an almost impossible job in cooperation with UAV units. At least three assault units are responsible for Hulyaipole. Today it is too early for us to talk about stabilizing the situation there, very fierce fighting is ongoing,” the head of the OVA noted.

We will remind you that Ukrainian defenders continue to hold positions in Huliaipol despite the fact that the city is completely in the “gray zone.”

It was previously reported that there is a risk of a worsening of the defense situation in the Hulyaipol area of Zaporizhia region due to internal problems in one of the territorial defense units. This concerns possible cases of sabotage and disinformation.
