The Russians have amassed a significant number of infantry in Kupyansk and are expanding control in the city: the situation is critical

In Kupyansk, Kharkiv Oblast, the Russian occupiers have amassed a significant number of troops, as a result of which they are managing to expand control in the central part of the city.

This was reported by analysts of the DeepState project.

They stressed that the situation in the settlement remains critical, as the enemy has managed to accumulate enough infantry over the past 4 weeks. The Russians are now trying to advance towards the southern part of Kupyansk.

Analysts noted that the occupiers’ ultimate goal is to infiltrate the crossing at Kupyansk-Vuzlovye.

The large number of Ukrainian pilots operating in Kupyansk reduces the offensive potential of the Russians. Currently, stabilization work is being carried out in the city center, the goal of which is to prevent the enemy from accumulating and moving further.

“The coming weeks will be decisive for the fate of Kupyansk. Either the Ukrainian Defense Forces will find reserves for stabilization operations, or, unfortunately, the enemy will accumulate a critical mass of its infantry,” DeepState noted.

At the same time, despite the fighting taking place in the city, the situation on the eastern bank of the Oskil River is relatively stable.

“The enemy is advancing along the railway near Stepovaya Novoselivka, but is unlikely to be able to achieve serious successes in the near future. Of course, provided that Kupyansk can be held,” the analysts summarized.

Recall that the Russians have developed a logistical route through a gas pipe , with the help of which they overcome Oskil and enter Kupyansk.

By the way, the situation on the front in the Kharkiv region remains difficult : the Russian occupiers have accumulated forces and set a goal of capturing Kupyansk.

Earlier, the head of the Kupyanska MVA, Andriy Besedin, reported on a critical situation : sabotage groups are infiltrating the city, and all logistical routes are controlled by enemy drones.
