The Russians have changed the tactics of attacks on Ukrainian energy: what will happen if the enemy attacks the nuclear power plant?

The Russians have changed the tactics of shelling Ukrainian energy facilities: previously, the occupiers dispersed attacks across several areas, but now they are concentrating strikes on a specific region or large city.
This was stated on the air of “Pryamoy” by the former head of “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
Recently, the Russians have chosen Kyiv as a target and are directing a large number of missiles and attack drones at the city.
According to Kudrytsky, the enemy seeks to create a complex humanitarian catastrophe in specific Ukrainian regions or cities.
“It’s not just about electricity supply, as in previous years. Now they (the Russians – ed.) are very intensively attacking heating systems and combined heat and power plants in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and other cities, which produce heat in these large cities, not just electricity,” he said.
Because of this, there are also problems with water supply.
At the same time, Kudrytskyi noted that the enemy is attacking the infrastructure around nuclear power plants, in particular, attacking substations through which the power of the nuclear power plant is supplied.
“These Ukrenergo substations have been attacked dozens of times. And some of them were also attacked tonight. The situation is indeed difficult, but it does not lead to any collapses or cataclysms,” the expert emphasized.
He is convinced that Ukrainian energy workers are ready for such attacks by the enemy. In addition, substations are protected from “shaheeds.”
“If the enemy had such plans to attack directly nuclear power plants, that is, the infrastructure adjacent to nuclear reactors located within the perimeter or on the territory of nuclear power plants, then such actions would be far beyond the limits of nuclear terrorism,” the former head of Ukrenergo added.
He believes that such a situation would provoke a harsh response from the international community, which is what is stopping the Russian Federation.
We remind you that consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv regions remain without electricity . A difficult situation is also observed in Kyiv and Kyiv region.
As is known, as of the morning of January 21 , about 4,000 homes in Kyiv remain without heat supply, and almost 60% of the city remains without electricity .
