In September, the pace of Russian advance on the front decreased by almost half, in particular, the enemy occupied 44% less territory than in August.
This was reported by analysts of the OSINT project DeepState.
Last month, the Russian occupiers managed to occupy 259 square kilometers, which is 0.04% of the entire area of Ukraine.
More than half — 53% — of all captured territories fell on the Novopavlivskyi direction. There, the enemy conducted 16% of the assault operations taking place on the front.
“Novopavlivskyi is the main problem area. Where the number of promotions is much greater than assault operations, and the latest personnel decisions here do not inspire much hope for improvement,” the post says.
Every tenth attack by the invaders falls on the Liman direction, where the Russians managed to take control of 19% of the territories captured in a month.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted 4% of the total number of assault operations and occupied 14%.
“Kupyansky became one of the leaders of the anti-rating and if decisions were not made in time, it could have ended in tragedy. But it is too early to say that the threat has passed, because the battle for the city continues,” analysts emphasized.
The Russians conducted the largest number of assaults in the Pokrovsky direction — 31%. There, they were able to capture 9% of all the territories occupied in a month.
“Pokrovsk — defense remains extremely effective, because every 10th square kilometer of occupation falls on this area, with a third of all assaults directed at Pokrovsk and its surroundings. However, the price of each meter here is much higher, and the enemy has also approached the city from the south, and fighting in the landings and in the city is of different levels of difficulty,” the analysts added.
- Torets direction — 4% sq. km (8% shd)
- Zaporizhia direction — 2% sq. km (2% shd)
- North direction — 1% sq. km (7% sd)
- Kramatorsk — 0% sq. km (3% sd)
- Sumy direction — 0% sq. km (5% shd)
As a reminder, the Russian army is trying to semi-encircle Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region, attacking from several directions – Chasovye Yar, Toretsk and Pokrovsk – Myrnograd.
By the way, earlier, Russian occupation troops advanced deep into Ukrainian territory on several front lines.
