The Russians stormed Kupyansk using tanks and armored vehicles: how the Defense Forces practiced

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian occupiers, for the first time in a long time, resorted to a mechanized assault using armored vehicles.

This was reported by the commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems “ACHILLES” and the press service of the Dnipro UAV .

The enemy is trying to advance on the left bank of the Oskil River — in the direction of the settlements of Lyman Pershyi and Kupyansk.

“The enemy decided to make a breakthrough in the left-bank part of the city of Kupyansk,” explained the commander of the ACHILLES regiment.

At the same time, according to sources, the occupiers involved 2 tanks, three armored combat vehicles, as well as about 40 servicemen in the assault.

As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian units, the enemy was stopped. All Russian equipment of the Defense Forces was destroyed, and personnel were hit by fire.

As a reminder, as of 4:00 p.m. on August 16, in the Kupyansk direction , Russian occupiers were trying to break through Ukrainian defenses in the area of the settlements of Kindrashivka, Zapadne, Holubivka, and Stepova Novoselivka . Six out of nine attacks were repelled.
