The Russians struck the Pecheneg Reservoir in the Kharkiv region: what is known about the consequences

On Sunday, December 7, Russian occupation forces struck the Pecheneg Reservoir dam in the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by the Pechenig village head Alexander Gusarov.

According to him, as of 12:00, traffic on the Pecheneg Dam roadway was stopped as a result of the attack.

“Remain calm and follow our further announcements,” the official urged.

Local media outlets have already published photos of the damaged reservoir, showing that part of the roadway is missing.

In this regard, the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in the Kharkiv region announced the closure of traffic on two highways, which are

  • T-21-11 Chuguev – Pechenigy – Velykyi Burluk near the village of Pechenigy;
  • T-21-04 Kharkiv – Vovchansk – Chuhunivka checkpoint near the village of Stary Saltiv.

Instead, to ensure traffic flow, a detour route has been organized – Chuhuyiv – Korobochkyne – Lebyazhe – Prymorske – Khotomlya – Vovchansk.

Currently, specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks, conducting surveys and priority restoration measures.

Earlier it became known that the enemy launched a second massive combined air strike on the territory of Ukraine . Fastiv and Kremenchuk were under attack.
