The SBU and the National Police have uncovered 8 more mobilization evasion schemes
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police blocked eight more schemes for evading mobilization and illegally crossing the state border in various regions of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press center of the SBU.
As a result of comprehensive measures, law enforcement officers detained 16 organizers of the deals. The suspects offered assistance in avoiding conscription in exchange for bribes ranging from 3,000 to 16,500 US dollars.
In Kharkiv, the SBU military counterintelligence detained a contract worker who was offering mobilized people escape to EU countries through the forests of the western regions. To do this, he promised to involve acquaintances from the border region who would take clients around checkpoints.
In Lviv, counterintelligence officers detained the head of a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine training center. According to the investigation, he organized a channel for the unauthorized departure of mobilized personnel from the regime facility, involving acquaintances from the medical unit. They issued fictitious referrals for treatment outside the military unit, after which the servicemen did not return.
In Chernivtsi, seven businessmen were exposed who, through connections in the CCC, forged documents for fictitious enrollment in military service.
A local resident was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region , who was selling fictitious certificates of the third group of disability through acquaintances from an expert team for assessing the daily functioning of a person.
In Zhytomyr region, law enforcement officers detained two CCC officials and their former colleague. They were removing fugitives from wanted lists in exchange for bribes.
In Vinnytsia region, a 49-year-old unemployed man was arrested red-handed, who was driving evaders to the border in his own car and showing escape routes through forest trails to Moldova.
In Poltava region, an attacker was exposed who, together with a family doctor, issued fictitious certificates about serious illnesses of relatives. Based on these documents, clients received a deferral, supposedly for the purpose of caring for the sick.
In the Donetsk region, an entrepreneur was detained who was selling fake medical certificates from the military medical commission stating unfitness for service or enrollment in rear units, involving officials of the VLK and TCC.
The suspects were informed of suspicion under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
As previously reported, within the sixth phase of Operation Guardian, law enforcement officers uncovered new cases of evasion of military service in Ukraine.
