The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a unique operation, using drones to hit a submarine in a Russian port.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
Underwater drones “Sub Sea Baby” blew up the boat “Varshavyanka” in Novorossiysk.
As a result of the explosion, the ship suffered critical damage. According to the SBU, it is out of order.
On board the boat were four launchers for Kalibr cruise missiles, which the occupiers used to strike Ukraine.
As noted, the historic defeat was made possible thanks to the joint work of the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU and the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
The cost of such a submarine is about $400 million. However, building a similar one now will cost more due to the sanctions imposed.
The SBU emphasized that this class of submarines has the ability to absorb sounds and remain invisible to sonar.
“Recall that the blown-up boat was forced to stay in the port of Novorossiysk due to the successful special operations of the Sea Baby surface naval drones, which displaced Russian ships and submarines from the Sevastopol Bay in temporarily occupied Crimea,” the press service added.
As a reminder, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked Russian oil production platforms in the Caspian Sea for the third time in the last week .
As is known, on December 5, SBU fighters carried out a drone attack on the Temryuk port in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia. As a result, a large-scale fire broke out at the facilities, which lasted for three days.
