The SBU confirmed the destruction of the Ust-Luga oil terminal in Russia.

Long-range drones from the Security Service of Ukraine’s Alpha Special Operations Center struck an oil terminal at the port of Ust-Luga for the second time in a week.

The SBU reported this.

On the night of March 29, drones struck the facility’s infrastructure. The attack resulted in serious damage and a fire.

The port of Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s key maritime hubs on the Baltic Sea, through which oil is exported, including through the use of the so-called shadow fleet.

The intelligence agency noted that it, together with the defense forces, continues systematic work to reduce the enemy’s financial and logistical capabilities.

“All oil facilities are effectively part of the Russian military-industrial complex and provide funds for the war against Ukraine. Such special operations will continue,” noted acting SBU head Yevhen Khmara .

As a reminder, powerful explosions rocked Russia’s Leningrad Oblast on the night of Friday, March 27. Drones targeted oil terminals in Ust-Luga and Primorsk. This is the second attack on these facilities in recent memory.

On the night of March 29, drones once again attacked the Leningrad region of Russia. According to Russian claims, more than 30 drones were shot down. Meanwhile , the port of Ust-Luga sustained further damage as a result of the attack, with a fire breaking out.

Meanwhile , Russia is introducing a ban on gasoline exports effective April 1, 2026, due to declining production and rising prices. Officially, the government explains the move as a need to stabilize the domestic market, but the actual reason is a series of drone strikes on oil refining infrastructure.
