The SBU will carry out large-scale security measures in Lviv: what you need to know

The Security Service of Ukraine will conduct security measures in Lviv from June 12 to 16 to prevent threats of hostile intelligence and subversive activity.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the SBU in Lviv region.
“The Security Service will conduct counterintelligence measures in Lviv, which will last from June 12 to 16 this year. National Police officers will also be involved in security measures,” the message says.
The actions of law enforcement officers will cover the entire city. The goal is to prevent and neutralize threats of intelligence and subversive activity and increase the safety of citizens in the conditions of Russian aggression.
The SBU noted that the measures will be carried out taking into account the legal regime of martial law.
During their conduct, restrictions on passage and travel, document checks and vehicle inspections are possible. In the event of reasonable suspicions, additional checks of citizens may be carried out.
“At the same time, an inspection of public areas and premises will be carried out to identify prohibited items,” the Security Service noted.
The SBU asked citizens to be understanding of the inconvenience and to respond appropriately to the lawful actions of law enforcement officers, to have identification documents with them.
The Security Service emphasizes that in their activities they adhere to the principle of legality, constitutional inviolability of the rights and freedoms of citizens.
Earlier, in the Zhytomyr region, the counterintelligence of the Security Service detained a Russian agent who was spying on aviation. He turned out to be a 41-year-old local unemployed man who was recruited by the Russian special services.
By the way, the Security Service, with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, detained a cadet of a leading military institute who turned out to be an agent of the Russian FSB.
