Ukraine launches “School Student Package”: parents to get ₴5,000 for back-to-school prep

Ukraine’s new “Student Package” program grants ₴5,000 to parents of first-graders for school supplies, clothes, and shoes. Applications must be submitted by November 15, 2025, via the “Diya” app or Monobank.

This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

“The ‘School Student Package’ will be launched in the coming days. Parents of first-graders will be able to receive 5,000 hryvnias to prepare their child for school,” he noted.

To participate in the program, the child must be enrolled in full-time first-grade education, and the school must have submitted the necessary data to the electronic system. Next, parents need to activate a Diya.Card:

• In Monobank: swipe left → “Open Card” → “Diya.Card” → “Activate.”

• In the Diya app: launch the feature, log in, and select the “Student Package” service.

The funds can only be spent on specific categories of goods:

• School supplies (notebooks, stationery, backpacks, etc.)

• Children’s clothing

• Footwear

It is noted that 5,000 hryvnias will be credited to a special account and must be used within 180 days of receipt.

According to Fedorov, the program is designed to ease the financial burden on parents and make preparing first-graders for school as simple and convenient as possible.

We remind you that from August 13, all payments from the state will be received on one “Diya. Kard”. Such changes will simplify the receipt and use of funds.

Previously, a new section appeared in the state mobile application “Diya”, which combined all the services necessary for veterans.
