The Verkhovna Rada failed to fill its quota for the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court.

Rostyslav Pavlenko, a member of parliament from the European Solidarity faction, wrote about this on social media. He noted that this is Ukraine’s European integration commitment, which the so-called mono-majority has failed to fulfill.

“Yulia Kirichenko, a highly professional lawyer known for her public activism, unfortunately did not receive the votes of the ruling minority. After all, this minority was unable to organize in support of its own… And instead of voting for the sake of results, she decided to drop the case,” Pavlenko notes.

“Another criterion for EU accession has been missed. It’s been reaffirmed once again – there is no majority. The executive branch relies on the support of a minority, which is reinforced ad hoc by various groups. This is an irresponsible approach during a war for survival,” the MP believes.

“No meetings with Zelenskyy will help here; this jug can’t be mended. The sooner this government of inadequacy is replaced by a government of national salvation, the better off the country will be. But the Opposition Party clearly hasn’t stepped on all the rakes yet,” the deputy suggests.
