The Shahed jet attacked the Yagodyn near the border with Poland: what is known about the consequences

A Russian Shahed jet hit near the Yagodyn checkpoint in the Volyn region, near the border with Poland. The blast wave damaged the checkpoint building at the entrance to the terminal.

During the air alert, a Russian jet drone was spotted in the Kamen-Kashirsky and Kovelsky districts. It later hit the area near the village of Starovoytove, where the Yagodyn international checkpoint is located.

The explosion damaged the checkpoint at the entrance to the terminal. There are no reports of casualties or injuries.

The downing of a Russian drone near the border was also confirmed by Jacek Horyszewski, spokesman for the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to him, the drone fell near the Dorohusk crossing, near Jagodin. The Polish military currently has no information about what exactly the Russian drone was aiming for.

Earlier, due to the Russian attack on western Ukraine, Poland took combat aircraft into the air. Air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were also put on alert. An air alert was declared in the Lublin Voivodeship.
