Russian occupation forces are trying to advance north of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region, in particular in the area of the village of Golubivka.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Joint Forces Group, Viktor Tregubov, on television.
According to him, the enemy is again using infrastructure, including pipelines, to move towards the city from the north.
He noted that active attempts to advance in this direction are ongoing, although Ukrainian forces are still managing to contain them.
“They managed to advance a little in the Golubivka area, and they are trying to penetrate the northern areas of Kupyansk in various ways, including through pipes,” Tregubov said.
According to him, the situation remains tense but controlled.
The situation on the left bank of the Oskil River remains particularly difficult, where Russian troops are trying to displace Ukrainian positions and are conducting attacks in the area of Kupyansk-Vuzlovye and Kivsharivka.
As previously reported, the Russian army has intensified assaults in the Kupyansk direction and is trying to advance towards the city from both banks of the Oskil River.
