In Kyiv, 41-year-old Dmitry Kadenyuk, the son of independent Ukraine’s first cosmonaut, Leonid Kadenyuk, was found dead.

According to media reports, Dmitry’s body was found by his mother in his apartment on Lesi Ukrainka Square on the morning of December 10. According to family acquaintances, the man was lying near the front door, with multiple wounds on his body and a knife in his hand.

No suicide note was found. The nature of the wounds may indicate a possible struggle, the publication notes.

Kyiv police confirmed the man’s death. Law enforcement officials reported that the body of a 41-year-old Kyiv resident with stab wounds was found in an apartment in a high-rise building in the Pechersky district. An investigative team, detectives, and a forensic expert are currently working at the scene.
