The State Border Service of Ukraine avoids explanations regarding the departure of Mindich and Zuckerman on the eve of the searches

An incomprehensible situation arose in the case of businessmen Timur Mindich and Oleksandr Zukerman’s departure abroad: the State Border Service of Ukraine refused to participate in the meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission, which was supposed to investigate this incident.
This was reported by Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, citing MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Zheleznyak said that at a meeting of the anti-corruption committee on November 25, NABU detectives reported: Mindich and Zuckerman crossed the border at the “Hrushiv” checkpoint literally with a difference of several minutes. The border guards also recorded a “K” ticket, which confirms the control of passengers.
The TSC invited a representative of the State Border Service to a meeting on December 10 to receive explanations. However, the State Border Service stated that it saw no legal grounds for its representative to participate in the work of the commission.
The deputy emphasized that such a refusal seems unfounded, because the law does not prohibit the border service from participating in the meeting, especially in a case that causes public resonance.
Zheleznyak stated that the TSK will either receive a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine voluntarily, or will be forced to apply the procedure of forcibly summoning the head of the service, Serhiy Deineko. The commission also plans to find out how contracts related to the activities of the border service are being fulfilled.
It was previously reported that the newly created company “Kvartal UA” LLC turned out to be connected by a common contact number with the company “Next Line Production” , co-owned by businessman Timur Mindich, suspected of corruption.
