The State Emergency Service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already preparing: the minister warned of a possible Russian attack

Amid a potential cold snap in Ukraine, all services and the Armed Forces are preparing for the cold, as the Russian occupation army may strike again.

This was stated by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, Noviny.LIVE reports .

As he noted, frost and a sharp cold snap will hit Ukraine next week. All necessary services are preparing for this.

“Both the State Emergency Service and all services related to the elimination of consequences. And, of course, our Armed Forces are preparing, because it is no secret that we can expect a new blow,” the minister said.

Separately, Kuleba said that air temperature significantly affects the energy system, especially during Russian shelling.

Yes, according to him, severe frosts complicate the situation, however, when it gets warmer, the load should decrease.

“This is a challenge, another challenge for us, for the Ukrainian people. I am sure that we will overcome it. It will be difficult, but, nevertheless, this winter shows that we are not alone,” the official emphasized.

As a reminder, according to weather forecasters, the air temperature will drop sharply almost throughout the country in the coming days. The State Emergency Service has declared a red level of danger .

As is known, as of January 29 , hundreds of settlements in several regions were left without electricity due to Russian shelling of the Ukrainian power system and the consequences of bad weather.
