Head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko stated that the State Financial Monitoring Service does not actually help the investigation and only creates the appearance of work.

This is reported by NV correspondent Sergey Okunev.

According to Klymenko, the department is conducting the so-called “Italian strike” – it does not respond to requests and transfers documents that are of no use to the investigation.

He emphasized that instead of real cooperation, the State Financial Monitoring Service only imitates activities.

“The State Financial Monitoring Service is carrying out an Italian strike. It does not respond to requests and transfers documents that are of no use to the investigation. They imitate activities, but in reality they are not included in the investigation,” Klymenko said.

The SAPO believes that such a position hinders effective investigation of cases and complicates the work of law enforcement officers.

It was previously reported that during his year in office, Philip Pronin, the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service, spent more than 70 days on business trips abroad.

As a reminder, the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Oleksandr Klymenko, stated that the State Financial Monitoring Service could more actively monitor funds abroad and the possibilities of legalization within the framework of the investigation into the Midas case.
