The strength and courage of our Yana Zinkevich are incomprehensible – Petro Poroshenko

Petro Poroshenko expressed his support for Yana Zinkevich, founder of the Medical Volunteer Battalion “Hospitaliers,” on social media.

“The willpower and courage of our incredible Yana Zinkevich are incomprehensible. In 2014, this young woman chose to save wounded soldiers over parties and entertainment. She created the unique Medical Volunteer Battalion “Hospitaliers,” which over the years has evacuated more than 42,000 wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Without a single penny of budget money, she created an organization that fulfills its mission every day,” wrote the fifth President.

“Even the terrible car accident, which seemed to have ruined all her plans, didn’t break Yana’s spirit. I remember Marina and I visiting her in the clinic during our visit to Israel, and then being overjoyed to return home and join the Hospitallers,” writes Petro Poroshenko.

“I’ve met with the Hospitallers many times during equipment transfers and assistance to their battalion. And when Yana joined our parliamentary team, she strengthened it with her uncompromising stand and her military experience,” the party leader noted.

“I know for certain: no trials can break her freedom and character. And no war can destroy her sincerity and fragile soul. Today, my support and trust are in you and your true invincibility, which no one can shake,” Poroshenko writes.
