The Sun has become more active: scientists warn of a powerful magnetic storm

On Tuesday, November 12, a strong magnetic storm is expected on Earth, caused by several coronal ejections from the Sun. According to observations by astronomers, streams of charged particles are approaching our planet, formed after powerful solar flares recorded on November 9 and 10.
This is evidenced by meteoagent data.
The first plasma ejection, resulting from an X1.7-class flare, could reach Earth as early as the morning hours of November 12. Another one is expected almost immediately after it — the result of activity from the same region on the Sun where the X1.2 flare occurred.
Experts do not rule out that these two flows could merge into a single shock front or pass one after the other with a minimal pause. Such a scenario could intensify geomagnetic disturbances and provoke a G1–G3 storm — that is, from moderate to strong.
According to the weather portal, the K-index on November 12 may reach 7.3, which is considered an indicator of high magnetic activity.
A magnetic storm of this level can cause:
disruptions in power systems and satellite communications;
deterioration of GPS navigation;
decreased concentration, headache, pressure drops in weather-dependent people.
How to protect yourself during magnetic storms
Astronomers and doctors advise preparing in advance:
Follow solar activity forecasts.
Drink more water – this helps the body adapt faster.
Get a good night’s sleep: sleep stabilizes the nervous system.
Spend time outdoors, avoid stuffy rooms.
Limit caffeine and alcohol, which overload the cardiovascular system.
Reduce stress and emotional overload.
Eat lightly: more vegetables, fruits and fish, less fat.
Monitor your blood pressure and keep your medications close by if you have chronic conditions.
Astronomers warn that solar activity remains elevated, and new plasma emissions are possible in the coming days. Therefore, geomagnetic oscillations may recur within a week.
